William Spencer Anderson (c. 1832 27 September 1872) was an American-born Liberian politician and explorer. Originally a barber, Anderson emigrated to Liberia at the age of 20 and within five years had inherited a sugar plantation. He expanded the business and became the largest producer of sugar and coffee in Liberia. Entering politics with the True Whig Party Anderson was selected to be Speaker of the House of Representatives from 1869 to 1871. He undertook an expedition to drive a road from Monrovia to Moussodougou in what is now Burkina Faso but he was forced to abandon the attempt. Returning to Monrovia, Anderson successfully negotiated a $500,000 loan for the government from British financiers. However he received criticism for the terms of the loan and was arrested. He was assassinated on 27 September 1872

Melissa Gonzlez (born January 24, 1989) is an American field hockey player. At the 2012 Summer Olympics, she competed for the national team. She was born in Peekskill, New York.

She attended Lakeland High School. Gonzlez completed her collegiate field hockey career at the University of Connecticut. She gained multiple awards during her collegiate career including First Team All-American and Big East Conference Defensive Player of the Year. Gonzlez has competed in World Championship games since 2014. She was named Best Player of the Tournament at the 2017 World League Semifinals in Johannesburg, South Africa. Gonzlez's Olympic experience includes the 2012 Olympic Games in London, England, and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In addition to playing, she has been a volunteer assistant coach at UConn, Yale and the University of Massachusetts.

Eric Williams was driving cross-country with the members of The Best Thing Ever to film a documentary about them. During the middle of the trip, he decided to start his own band to open shows for The Best Thing Ever, and was soon joined by Alec Billig and Jennifer Page of The Best Thing Ever. They played their first show on an escalator at the Mall of America.

The Eskalators released their first recording, Never Break Down, in April 2008. Shortly after, New York City promoter Joe Ahearn approached the band about performing on a subway car before one of his upcoming shows. His parents had separated by the time he was three years old and Daniel moved to New Milford, Connecticut with his father, Walter and his stepmother, Sharon Arndt before returning to Florida. His IQ was tested in his Junior year of high school and while his score was in the top two percent for his age, his family's financial situation meant that Shersty was unable to pay for college. Ron Cahute (Ukrainian: o o) (born March 26, 1955 in Toronto, Canada) is a Ukrainian-Canadian recording artist and songwriter. He is an accordion player and founding member of the Ukrainian-Canadian music band Burya (Ukrainian: ) (English translation: Storm). He is an arranger, sound engineer, music producer, and musical director for Ukrainian dance ensembles in Toronto.

Cahute began his music career in 1962 as a drummer in the band of his late father Maurice Cahute. In 1969, he founded a Ukrainian-Canadian music band, which was later called Burya.

He released over 30 albums either with Burya or as a solo artist. As a guest performer with other music artists he has performed on 178 albums Cahute has performed with Nana Mouskouri, Sofia Rotaru, Lisa Dalbello, Melissa Manchester, and Catherine McKinnon.
