Are the Jehovah's Witnesses on Yahoo Answers Armchair Warriors?

An armchair is a type of chair that features comfortable padding and armrests. It provides a great place for relaxation and is perfect for reading or watching television. In recent years, the term "armchair" has also been used to describe someone who offers their opinion on a specific topic without having any real experience or knowledge in that area.

Blog-intros, on the other hand, refer to the introductory paragraphs of blog posts. They should capture the reader's attention and provide an overview of what the post is about. Generally, blog-intros should be short and sweet, but they should also be engaging and relevant to the reader.

When it comes to blogging, it's important to avoid being an "armchair" blogger. Instead, strive to present yourself as an expert in your field by doing thorough research and applying your own experiences to your writing. Additionally, a well-crafted blog-intro can make all the difference in keeping your readers engaged and interested in what you have to say.

Ours is the God of true Pro-phe-sieeeeeeee What he foretells comes to be... (unless it does not come to be, then there will be new light explaining why it did not and we will accept it without question)

1. To all you armchair economists out there, what is the biggest mistake our country made, economically speaking?

Raising the minimum wage until inflation is out of sight and raising taxes on business to the point where money once earmarked for payroll is being used to pay them

3. Real Military people (not the fake armchair warriors posting in this section)?

Me? Nimitz or Halsey in the Pacific

4. Why do military theorists, armchair critics, and wargamers think war is easy?

Ah yes.... Thanks for bringing your question to my attention. In real life this is oh-so-true. Once committed every general who has ever existed looses, if not complete control, at least control over the details which can affect the outcome of any (and all) battles. Of course it is the job of historians to analyze what happened and even comment on it. But I think you will find most honest historians (and many have an ax to grind and tend to be biased) are going to present their conclusions without a lot of acrimony. The more armature(or biased) the commentator the more likely you going to get to broad assessments of a general's performance based on their 20/20 hindsight and misunderstanding of the real nature of the project (war). I think this can be really true of young gamers whose only exposure to the military, let along real combat, is throwing the dice and making their move based on a book of rules (which do not apply in the real world). Your rant is not entirely unjustified. Every general--even the greatest (Lee sending Pickett against the Union Center comes to mind)--makes mistakes. The honest historian looks at their full career and not one isolated incident (even ones which may have cost them the battle and/or the war) in order to make an honest (there's that word again) assessment of their skill and ability. I would second Gerry D's recommendation on Keegan's book. I do not always agree with Keegan's conclusions or assessments, however, I do feel he is an honest historian who reaches his conclusions after an in-depth study of his subject. I certainly take his opinion into account when drawing my own conclusions.

5. How to Reupholster a Wingback Armchair (Jackasses need not apply)?

I made a outfitted slip cover for my brother's wingback chair as soon as, so it seems find it irresistible's been professionally implemented! I had no inspiration what I was as soon as doing nonetheless it obviously came out actual just right, however I DO have a knack for issues like that. All you relatively want is the advantage to sew and get accurate measurements.... And plenty of persistence. Make detailed you cover the seat cushion separate, although you customarily already knew that! Readily do not take the chair apart, and that you simply could be attractive in charge with anything you are attempting. With no trouble correct success. Now that I feel about it, it was attractive tough to do

6. If Pres Bush reinstituted the draft what excuses would the armchair warriors have to ignore it?

Albannach is correct, but what he FAILS to mention is the public statement by the authors of the bill that they did not seriously expect it go through. What the bill was meant to do was focus the spotlight on RICH REPUBLICAN congress members and the fact very few if any of their children are serving in the military. Easy to push for war when you know its not your family members or your "kind" that is going to have to do the fighting. The draft would not adversely affect the poor or minorities who already make up the majority of the military. It would affect the rich republican children that have no qualms pushing for war when they know they wo not be fighting it.

7. How can I get these or order them on line to hold armchair covers in place?

I know what the little corkscrew thingies are, but not what they are called. I do know that Bed, Bath, & Beyond sells them. I know that I've seen them in the bedding department.

Armchair and Blog-Conclusions

The armchair is an iconic piece of furniture, designed for comfort and relaxation while sitting back and enjoying a good book, movie, or even just a cup of tea. With its plush cushioning, wide armrests, and often reclining back, it is the perfect place to unwind and escape the stresses of the day.

In the world of blogging, “armchair pundits” are often those who sit back and make unsubstantiated claims or opinions without actually engaging in any meaningful dialogue or research. This can lead to a phenomenon known as “blog-conclusions”, where readers are presented with ideas or theories that sound convincing, but are actually based on little more than hearsay or personal opinions.

While armchairs and blogging may seem like vastly different topics, they both speak to the importance of taking the time to sit back and reflect before coming to any conclusions. Whether you are relaxing in your armchair or processing information from a blog post, it’s crucial to approach the world with an open mind and a willingness to learn and engage in productive discussions.
